District #4 Lyle Van Wormer (R), Vice-Chairman of the Board District #4 serves from Monaghan Point Road to U.S. 23 to Bloom Road and all the way to M-32. Lyle was elected to County Commissioner starting January 1, 2007. He retired in 2007, as a Captain for the Alpena Township Fire Department where he had served for 24 years. He runs his own business, Van’s Pro Shop, located on Kirchoff Road. He is the past President of the Michigan Archer’s Association where he served for 9 years.
