The Alpena County Jail and Catholic Human Services are excited to announce a new collaborative to assist inmates find needed services. Hopefully this assistance will aid individuals and break the wheel of recidivism through rehabilitation. Catholic Human Services is devoting a social work case manager and peer recovery coach to work at the Sheriff's Office, week days Monday-Friday. They will work directly with inmates to link them with services for mental health, education, drug/ alcohol abuse, and other needed services. The service provided by Catholic Human Services will be funded through a State Opioid Response Grant.
