Parks & Recreation

The Alpena County Parks Commission welcomes you to our parks. We are proud to provide these parks to the community and hope you are able to find time to camp at each park. We also hope you enjoy your stay and come to visit the parks again.

The camping season is from May 15 until October 15 annually. Reservations are accepted after January 2 each year and require a deposit of one (1) night's stay, to be paid in advance. Holiday weekends require a deposit of two (2) night's stay, to be paid in advance.  

Weekly and Monthly rentals are available, monthly rental balance is due 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Seasonal reservations can be accepted after September 1^st each year for the next year camping season. Payment of $150.00 is due at the time of the reservation, with the balance due in full May 1^st of current year before arrival for seasonal rentals.

 The $100.00 discount given to Alpena County residents is for the seasonal rate only.  Must show proof of being an Alpena County resident.   **Seasonal Campers (Alpena County Residents Only) – Veterans or a Seniors Discount (age 65+) of $50, but cannot take both discounts and need to show proof when signing in at the Parks Office. 

 Alpena County has a no refund policy.  If a cancellation becomes necessary, any deposits may be applied toward a future stay within one year of cancellation. Cancelations less Seven (7) days advance notice will be charged a one-day fee.  No show reservations will be charged a full rental fee.
