You must have your court-ordered paperwork in hand for us to fingerprint you. If you do not have the paperwork, have forgotten it, or have lost it, please go to the appropriate court and obtain a new copy of your order for fingerprints. This order is necessary for us to fingerprint you.

Test Cost & Details

Non-DOT pre-employment drug testing:

We provide a 12-panel saliva drug test for the following drugs.|
-   Alcohol
-   Amphetamine
-   Barbiturates
-   Benzodiazepine
-   Cocaine
-   Fentanyl
-   Ketamine
-   K2/Spice (synthetic marijuana
-   Methamphetamine
-   Opiates
-   Oxycodone
-   Marijuana

The cost of this drug test is $50 and the results are instant. To contest the results and for a lab analysis of the results, an additional cost of $30 per drug line plus $15 shipping. The applicant is responsible for costs associated with contesting their results.

Paperwork Required for Testing

Please fill out the "drug screening request form" prior to arriving for your appointment. The form should be filled out by the employer and provided to the applicant. The applicant must bring this completed form to their appointment. Failure to bring this form will mean that we cannot complete the drug screening.

Payment Methods

Invoicing is available for the employing agency. Questions about invoicing can be directed to 989-354-9830 option 3 or by email to sheriffpayments@alpenacounty.org

If the applicant is paying for the test, payment is due at the time of the appointment.

Cash or Check are accepted on site. Checks must be made payable to Alpena County Sheriff's Office. Cash must be exact change - we do not have change on site.

1) Drug Screening ONLY

2) Drug Screening with Fingerprints (ink or Livescan)
Livescan fingerprints require additional paperwork and both types of fingerprints have additional costs. Please read the top of this page for more information on fingerprints.
