With the help of Doug Pratt from PRATTScape Design, the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office was able to complete a much needed landscaping upgrade to the front of the Sheriff’s Office located at 4900 M-32 W., in Alpena. These upgrades include 7 trees, 21 shrubs, 12 perennials, split rail fencing, and 10 yards of stone. The project design was created by Pratt and he was successful in raising donations from PRATTScape Design, Home Depot, Fitzpatrick’s Hardware, T.J. Hoes State Farm, Nicolet Bank, and Curt Doan Excavating. Alpena County contributed $2,500 of the approximate $10,000 project. During this project, several inmates from the Alpena County Jail were utilized for manual labor that included removing grass, planting trees, and moving stone.
Staff of the Alpena County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who contributed to this project and for the continued support from our community!
