For Civil Process Inquiries, please contact our office during regular business hours. We contract out for civil process services and will put you in touch with the server.
These services include, but are not limited to:
- Summons
- Divorce Paperwork
- Evictions
Personal Protection Orders
Personal Protection Orders (PPOs) can be served in different ways:
- Certified / Restricted mail through the U.S. Postal Service
- A neutral third party
- Someone who is not involved in the case serves the Respondent
- Law Enforcement Officer or Process Server
There is a $25 fee for service by our office. We do not have the ability to make change. Please bring cash (exact change) or a check made payable to Alpena County Sheriff's Office. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm, excluding holidays and weekends. You may call ahead by using the contact information on the right side of this page.
